Track 4: "Hit the Floor"-
This one opens with one of the Raskills (we think it's Big K) telling us about this hot new club jam. He even introduces the legendary (?) DJ Cool (or maybe Kool), who raps while Macho says "Oh yea!". Anyway, this jam is "comin off the top rope" and until it eventually hits the floor. About half way through Macho Man starts rapping again, of course introducing himself and "coming right back at ya!" He somehow throws down the rhyme "Droppin a bomb/on your CD-ROM/it's machoman.com!" Yup, this song sure hit the floor.
Overall, this is just generic BET hip-hop, with people screaming at us, wanting us to throw our hands. Of course, at the end of this one, they thankfully announce their departure, only to come right back at us with...
Track 5: "Let's Get it On"
Take one guess how Randy opens this one up.
A persistent rhyme on this album is "Tear it up! Kick some butt! (we told you it was a clean record)." In fact, a common theme on most songs is how much butt the Macho Man kicks. This song is all just the Raskills screaming "Kick some butt" and "Let's get it on!" until the Macho Man says "Ohh yea!! Peace out!" Irony, thy name is Randy.
Track 6: "Remember Me?"
This one is a little different. Picture a duet with T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chili. That's the vibe of this song. However, remember dinoasskickinasaurus? Well, the other persistent theme of the album is how Macho is consistently disrespected, which is why he needs to kick so much butt. Anyway, two bits of gold are mined from this troth. The chorus (sung by his TLC backup band):
Remember meAnd this little acronym Mr. Savage drops on our ears:
I'm the same old Macho that I used to be.
A'int nothin' gonna change.
So remember me.
La la la.
La la la la la LA LA LA!
The M's cause I push it to the maximum.
And the A's for the aura that they try to become.
The C's for champ; six times I became.
And the H is for honor; I'm in the Hall of Fame!
The O's for "Ohh Yea!" 'cause I'm so outstandin'!
The M's for Macho; I'm the last man standin'.
The A's for anytime, anyplace we can go.
And the N is for notorious, the one Macho!
Can we have the H please?
Ummm...what Hall of Fame? That's factually inaccurate. We even used the finest research tools at our disposal, and this is what we came up with. So there. Take that.
Track 7: "Tear It Up"
Not much to say about this, except for two things. First, it's hilarious how Macho says "tear it up/kick some butt" on about five other songs, and then actually has a song called "Tear it Up." Second, it opens up with a guitar riff, which Macho likes because it "mixes a little hip hop with a little rock and roll!" Yup, wrestling, rap, rock, and feature movie roles. Your a quadruple threat buddy.
Track 13: "Gonna Trouble"
Once again, take a guess as to how this track opens up.
What's astounding about this album is that the production values are actually pretty high. These are beats G-Unit or the Cash Money Millionaires or any other generic hip hop group would use. Still, unfortunately they have the Macho Man Randy Savage rapping on them. Once again, another song about Macho kicking your butt for dissing him. In fact, this time he has evidence. He "heard you talkin' shhhhhhhh" and rhymes dude with dude five times in a row.
Yes sir. There certainly will be trouble. Perhaps for the entire laws of physics.
