Now, we had the forthcoming pic ready to go for an older article, but we held off on it for a later date. We were simply going to run it today and write something pithy like, "Jake is still a mess. LOLOLOLOLZ." However, using the finest research tools at our disposal, this article came to our attention. Hey, it was posted on November 4th! That's hot news around here!
The fine journalists at PWMania.com conducted an interview "in 2008" with the master of the DDT, and it appears they discussed all sorts of things, such as promotions he's not working for and DVDs that he's not featured prominently enough in. They also mention that he writes reviews of Raw. Hey! So do we! Maybe we have more in common than we thought...
He's got a DVD coming out. Snake Tales. Yep, that's the title. Wanna guess what it's about? Well, it's full of tales from Jake "the Snake" Roberts. Pretty clever, if you ask us.
This is apparently a recent interview too, because he mentions Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, which we recap as well!. Jake was asked if he thinks the show hurts the integrity of wrestling (pause for audience laughter), and he says:
I think it hurts the integrity of the people who watch it!
Wait just a damn minute. We resemble that remark. And if there's one thing we're all about at LOL, Wresslin', it's integrity. I think Jake has some explaining to do.
Finally, he's hit with this zinger of question: Which was your favorite snake? That's easy! We can't speak to the old days, but right now it would have to be the one most willing to put him out of his misery.
