The sincerest form of flatter

Our new Twitter is paying off in spades! Not only has it allowed us to tell Edge we aren't excited for a new Alter Bridge DVD and make a joke about Newark airport to the Miz, but it has also allowed us to meet even more people who love to LOL @ some wresslin'! In fact, we got an email in the Laugh Box this morning from Ray, a fellow wresslin' blogger from jolly old United Kingdom!

Turns out, Ray runs her (yes, really) wrestling blog in a similar vein. It's also known to illicit chuckles and chortles. She does her own Raw Recap and plagiarizes the concepts of "LOLCats" just like we do. She uses the comedy crutch of Youtube videos to do the talking for her. She's also a big fan of Randy Orton's hog (that sentence says a lot about us.) It's nice to know that we aren't alone.

Wait a second.

Wait just a GODDAMN second!!!

What's this shit right here? What is it?! Explain this to us, Ray.

Hmmmm...seems awfully familiar to something we did, doesn't it!?

Yup, and ours is timestamped, so any court in the world (since she's European we might have to take this up to the Hague), will side with us. There's no proof she got hers up first, even though she lives six hours in the future!

Now, don't think we're callous. We know she's new. Only a few week's worth of content when we've been the most consistent/preeminent wrestling comedy blog on the net since October 2008! But we're sorry, this is inexcusable. Sorry toots, but you mess with the bulls, you're going to get the horns! We're going to sick our LOLiacs on you and your "blog." And you know what happened to those poor bastards at Wrestle LOL!

Mark it down! The first shots in Blog War '09 have been fired!

Curtly,

The Laugh Twins.

The gift that keeps on giving

It seems our review of the TNA iPhone application has made the Internet all aflutter with excitement lately. We must have been the first people to actually review the thing, because the developers of the game soon emailed us. But who could have known that our review would spawn even more?

PWinsider.com is one of, if not the, preeminent professional wrestling news sites on the web. In addition to having knowledgeable writers who write with a journalistic flair, they also get the most scoops, offer the most content, and do it all without the overall snarkiness that persists all over the Internet (they also do it without posting phony rumor links and exclusive nude Diva photos.) So imagine our glee when we saw they posted their own TNA iPhone app review. Here's a sample:

Wow, that looks familiar. Almost as if....

Click to enlarge, but you probably got the drift now.

Yea. Exactly. You can see all the proof here, but don't click it and give these crooks even more ad revenue.

Now, in fairness, they do say that "The kind folks from the Wrestling LOL blog sent along.." so they aren't claiming ownership of this review. But who are these "kind folks from the Wrestling LOL blog"? We can't find it anywhere! Even with the finest research tools at our disposal!

The only reasonable solution is some super fans stole our content, submitted it as their own, and then immediately deleted their "blog" to cover their tracks. We hoped to one day inspire good, but it seems we've only inspired madness.

But you know (tm), we don't want there to be any hard feelings between us, Wrestling LOL. We know you're just pathetic, little schemers trying to control your little worlds. So when we tell you that exposing you is nothing personal...

Like we didn't telegraph that one a mile away
