R U READY TO DOWN SOME SMACK??? No.

Hey gang,

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. We were all set to get back on track when my internet decided to break. Couldn't update the blog with dick jokes. Now it seems redundant.

Regardless, we've been pimping this for a while, but please check out the site (or wrestlegasm.com) for our co-live blog of the Royal Rumble! It'll be epic.

XOXO,
Adam

Gimme some sugar, Vinny

A bit of site news first: The Laugh Twins will have their first ever live blog with our sometimes guest blogger, always inferior (or is it inferiour) Ray from Wrestlegasm. Join us as we share LOLs about the Royal Rumble this Sunday!

The Laugh Twins have never been one to fantasy book, even though we've done it quite a bit on the site. It's not one of the things we set out to do, though. Things just sometimes come up that make us think, "What if so-and-so did this?" or "What if what's-his-nuts showed up?"

That's what we thought this week as WWE cross-promoted USA television show "Psych" by having star Dule Hill guest host Raw. John Cena also made a guest appearance on "Psych." This made us wonder why other USA television stars couldn't also guest host Raw.

Now before you say, "Who wants to see Tony Shalhoub or those two Jewish guys from 'Royal Pains' host Raw?", we'll just tell you that we're not talking about those guys. No, no, no. We're talking about someone with a little more starpower. Someone with a little more swagger. Someone who's name is...Bruce.

Bruce Campbell should guest host Raw.

Why would we want Mr. Campbell to host Raw, you ask? (Alright, we're sure you didn't ask that, because we all know why, but just play along, ok?) Here's just a few of his many credentials...

1) He's on a hit TV show
The least important to us, but to most of America, this will mean something. "Burn Notice" is one of the most successful shows on cable television [citation needed], and with Mr. Campbell playing the comedic supporting character, he's instantly recognizable to anyone who's watched anything on USA other than Raw.

2) He's a big-time movie star
Mr. Campbell has been in several well-known movies and has a huge cult following. For those fans of his that don't watch wrestling, this would be a great opportunity to catch Mr. Campbell in a live television format, which would certainly draw new viewers. As for those of us who already watch wrestling? Well, that brings us to...

3) He's popular with the wrestling crowd
In his autobiography, Mr. Campbell reprints an email from a fan that says he saw a "Bruce Campbell is God" sign at a wrestling event, and that's something that happened more than once. The young male crowd that frequents wrestling also has a more-than-passing knowledge of Mr. Campbell's films. He's also portrayed a wrestling announcer in his career, sharing the screen with former WWE superstar "Macho Man" Randy Savage, which may actually be a point against him.

4) It's a chance to cross-promote
Like we said, "Burn Notice" is a very popular show on USA, so why not swing a guest spot for one of the superstars. Perhaps the Legacy could be some male models with ties to the seedy Miami underbelly (we just wanted to think about some Legacy belly) Or maybe Triple H and Shawn Michaels could play a couple of bumbling private eyes that need some help. Perhaps the Undertaker could be a some sort of warlock that terrorizes the beach bunnies. Honestly, these things just write themselves.

5) He's been President of the United States

Do you really need something more?

New Year's Resolutions

You may remember that last year we Laugh Twins made some promises for the coming year. We'd like to think that we achieved our goals. We spell checked. We were nicer (Blog War and all), and our photoshop got a little better.

Of course, we feel we may have failed on one.

We will always LOL at Wresslin'.

The last few weeks we haven't always LOL'ed @ some wresslin. There was Adam's disgust at a live event. There have been a few missed posts (the first such in the blog's history). So thus, we present to you our lone resolution.

We will be better.

What does this mean exactly? Well consider 2010 the year we trim the fat. We're only going to post things we believe in now. No more "oh, it's Tuesday, gotta get something up" BS articles about Randy Orton's hog. Truth is, 2009 was a busy year for us, and 2010 is looking even busier. Sometimes real life gets in the way of our fun.

That being said, WWW is here to stay and more often than not we'll still do the Raw/Smackdown recaps, just because making the pictures if fun. Still, they're a week old, so sometimes it just won't make the cut. So things aren't going to be that different.

Also, to make this up to you, we'll try to TweetNA more often. Also, Adam may actually get a headset and set up a Skype account, so maybe, just maybe, we can do another podcast.

Expect an RUR2DSS??? later today.

Happy New Year!
Adam and Matt

R U READY TO DOWN SOME SMACK??? Earning the right to brag

Matt and Adam take the brand extension very seriously. They each only identify with one brand and actively follow it. Matt bleeds Raw red and Adam has Smackdown blue coursing through his veins. Being soldiers in the ongoing war for brand supremacy has charged both of them up enough to provide handy recaps of the previous week's show. That way, no new viewers will feel lost. Thus, every Monday and Friday, we here at LOL, Wresslin' will offer you a refresher. Hey, it's the least we can do.

For a theme song to accompany this post please press play and enjoy

Now, before I get you all ready for tonight's Smackdown (and in turn, Bragging Rights), I need to make note of something. This is LOL, Wresslin's 300th post!!!!!1shiftoneonebar-be-que11!! Please go to our register to purchase gifts.

ANYWAY

We take one week off and Nancy O'Dell causes everything to go to hell. Yessir, that "massive" Divas trade, to which I think Smackdown came out swimmingly. Gone is the boneless wonder Melina and that oddly appealing Eve, enter in "fat" Mickie James and "ugly" Beth Phoenix. Yes, I'm fairly pleased with this.

Now, we all know my love for Michelle McCool. Well, not anymore. Mickie James, dropped off work rate and all, is the new top lady of Friday! Don't get me wrong. McCool still has amazing abs and glorious fake boobs (with cleavage the size of the Grand Canyon), but something about finding the Undertaker sexually attractive turns me off to her. Plus, all that faith blah blah. So don't get me wrong, Michelle McCool, you're great. But whereas you gave me this:

Something something tight end.

Mickie James gave me this:

Speaking of a gaping vagina, The Miz and John Morrison reunited for a live rendition of their old talk show The Dirt Sheet (insiderish!). Turns out they have a match this Sunday (for bragging rights!), so it's time to argue over who most resembles Marty Janetty. Seriously, all the Jannety hate got sort of out of hand (not so out of hand that Janetty wouldn't go out and take a payday to job to the Miz on the Raw this past Monday, but still).

"Just because Marty Janetty is a former IC champ doesn't mean I'm the more Janetish!"

Still, considering how this is Smackdown, and Morrison is the face, guess who got the last laugh?

There were a bunch of matches to see who qualified for Team Smackdown at the PPV, but I read this week's Smackdown spoilers, and well, they're all kind of worthless now.

Anyway, best friends forever, who surely would never turn on each other for a chance at the World title this Sunday at Bragging Rights, Batista and Rey Mysterio, wrestled Mano e Mano last Friday. As usual, the interns at WWE.com did not disappoint with their captions.

Brothers, really? Does that explain the bunk beds and matching footie pajamas?

When did Rey hail from Russia? And what arms are we talking about? These arms?

Here's a caption I came up with: "The Animal mounts his prey for a late night hookup"

So the match was fine for what it was. Rey hit the most telegraphed finisher ever to get the win. BUT WAIT! Controversy! Seems Batista got his shoulder up, but the ref missed it! Why are referees always so incompetent? It's almost as if wrestling isn't legitimate! Or the ALCS for that matter! Of course, the Animal did not appreciate this.

And then CM Punk attacked Rey Mysterio for some reason.

Anyway, Smackdown is airing tonight from some city in the Northeast most likely. Be sure to watch it for some madcap hijincks on our way to this Sunday! MyNetwork TV, 8/7c or hulu.com! Here's to 300 more!

The Sound of LOL, Wresslin' (UPDATED!!!)

We apologize for anyone showing up to the site for our regular Watch Wresslin' Wednesday column, but you see, WWE has felt the need to crack down on embarrassing videos on YouTube so as not to provide fodder for those looking to discredit Linda McMahon on her run for office. Considering that's pretty much all we get by on for that column, it's hindered our operation slightly. So until those enterprising young souls on the internet post some more videos illegally, we're going to provide you with something else. Don't worry; we expect the whole thing to be sorted out by next week.

What we've done is actually quite special. We're bringing you the first LOL, Wresslin' Alleged LOLocast! That's right, a good old-fashioned podcast! So press play to enjoy the dulcet tones of our voices kicking your mind in the genitals. If we had to sum it up in picture form, it would look something like this...

Get to it!

UPDATE: It's come to our attention that the podcast does not work for all users (we can't all spend an extra thousand dollars for a status symbol computer that runs Quicktime, Matt). Thus, we are also hosting it externally. It's over at Mypodcast.com. Click here to listen.

Vacation Day #1

As previously mentioned, LOL, Wresslin' is on hiatus until next Monday. Please don't kill yourself. Still, don't think we're just relaxing on some beach somewhere. No, we've got plans. Big plans....

Until we meet again kiddies, please remember to always LOL @ some Wresslin!
